Week11: Balancing Life
This week I have learned that I must make a lot of ethical decisions as an entrepreneur and that means that I would have to make a lot of tough decisions because I will be required to do things that will be uncomfortable. Therefore, I must never put myself in a situation that I cannot say “No”
I have learned that balancing family life and work could be challenging, and it requires a lot of effort in doing so. I have learned that when I leave the house to go to work, I must believe that that choice I am making is worth it. I have learned that in balancing family and work-life, I could include my partner in the job even though her interests may be different from mine. I could invite my spouse to come on business trips when they are appropriate so she would know how things go around with the business I do. There is going to be a lot of understanding and appreciation from her end if I can make time out for her and the family.
I could go to work with my kids to let them know how things work around at my workplace and see the operations of the work. I have learned that when I am with my family, I must make sure that I make family time a quality moment. Even though my business may be critical, I must make them know that they come first and very important to me.
After all, how to keep a balance life is to pay attention, and to ask right questions so that you can be careful with your priorities. I have learned that I must live my life for the people who are there for me. It will be a dangerous thing to know at the end of my life that I did not live for anyone but myself.
