Week11: Balancing Life

This week I have learned that I must make a lot of ethical decisions as an entrepreneur and that means that I would have to make a lot of tough decisions because I will be required to do things that will be uncomfortable. Therefore, I must never put myself in a situation that I cannot say “No”   I have learned that balancing family life and work could be challenging, and it requires a lot of effort in doing so. I have learned that when I leave the house to go to work, I must believe that that choice I am making is worth it. I have learned that in balancing family and work-life, I could include my partner in the job even though her interests may be different from mine. I could invite my spouse to come on business trips when they are appropriate so she would know how things go around with the business I do. There is going to be a lot of understanding and appreciation from her end if I can make time out for her and the family.   I could go to work...

Dream Big

This week I have learned that I need to know what I would need in order to get my big dreams to come out real. I have realised that I would need more of quality people.  I would need people who have the same vision or can see the same thing that I am seeing from the on set. I know it can be hard yo see things from afar sometimes especially when the dream is not yours but I know that anyone with a good work ethics would be able to fit well in my big dream. I would need creative thinkers who are trustworthy. I believe that I would do much better when I can trust people I put on my team. People who will be there for my dream as if it were theirs. People who are willing to make it work amidst the challenges. I also realised that   people who are self motivated able to go the extra mile. If the individual is good but is unable to motovate his pr herself then it became challenging because  the least challenge can get the person demotivated and want to opt out. So I d...

Week9: True Leadership

This week I have learned that when I trust people, they are going to return the trust. It is hard to trust people, but when you trust your customers, they do return the trust! I have learned that there are bakers and eaters. Bakers see the world as a bigger pie they need to bake, and eaters always want to get as much of the pie as much as possible, trustworthy people are bakers and not eaters. I must always default to yes if I want to be a great helper; which means that I must always ask how I can always help someone instead of how they can help me.   I have learned that leadership is about 3 things, which are: capability, collaboration, and character.  I must learn ask a lot of questions and be willing to hear the answer. And customers always know what is wrong and when they say that something is wrong, then something is wrong. Customer satisfaction is key to growing of business. I must be able to ask the right questions. When I open myself to l...

Week8: Help Will Find Me

I have learned that sometimes we may face challenges in life and this may include our health failing us . The world can be a dangerous place to be because the adversary and his host seems to be working tirelessly.  But out father in heaven has given us the tools to overcome all these challenges that come our way. these challenges enable us to grow and get experiences which we will need and use in the hereafter.  I must always turn to my father in heaven in faith even though he will not take away my pain he is going to comfort me and grant me rest. I have learned that whenever there is a problem there is always a root cause of the problem, hence it is important to find the “why”. This will lead us to the solution of the problem. I have learned that there should in no circumstance should I underestimate myself because as far as I trust in the Lord I ca achieve whatever I set my mind to even though people may laugh at me and would want to discoura...
