Self Mastery

 I have learned a lot of things about being successful this week and one of the things that stood out to me most is a few principles I would like to share. First, I have learned that I need to be loyal to God and to my family. I must give the most importance to committing my time and heart to the Lord. This is because when I need his help he will know where my heart is, and he will always come to my aid. I know that when I take care of the Lord’s business, he will take care of my business. This is the main purpose of me being in this earth. My greatest legacy would be my family. I must therefore be loyal to my family. 

 

I have learned that in all my mastering I need to first master myself. That I will have to do a lot of work on myself if I want time be successful. I think that being an expert in what I do would be possible because of myself mastery. I must learn how to control my emotions and appetites and lust. I must control myself my must discipline myself. I do not have to allow my emotions and lust decide my course of this life. I must take charge and dominion over myself and my life. I must stay on the straight and narrow path. I need to apply self-control I all aspect of my life.

 

I have learned also that I need to have a rule that would bind my life. It is important to set rules because they are like a guide that will lead me to the road of success. I have learned that without rules for my life, I would fall for everything because I would not have limits which is one of the things that rules help us t establish.

Week7: 7 Habits

  This week I have learned about the 7 habits of highly effective people and out of the 7 t he fifth habit is one that has the most meaning to me. “First seek to understand, then to be understood.” I think this one thing that I would like to master as a person. I have learned previously that by listening to others then only are we able to know their concerns and how to come to their aids. We cannot be empathetic towards other when we have not sort to hear them out or now what they are going through. I think of this habit also as being slow to judging others until we know the entire story. Sadly, most time we fall short to this habit and are quick to conclude on matter with a half knowledge and that is not a good habit. People will only understand us when we have understood them. Week 1: REFLECTION

  This week I had a few things I took away and they are: As an entrepreneur, I must see life as a journey which I am embarking on. And in a journey they may be times where I would not have things as I have planned. Live is not going to always be as I want it. I must learn to start somewhere. Everything starts with first, a dream, even if they are not huge plans there should be something to serve as a propeller.
